Timi Dakolo Mourns Rev Sister Who Died While Saving Her Students In Lagos Pipeline Explosion
It was a sad Sunday for Lagosians as A pipeline explosion occurred at the Abule-Ado area around Festac town in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of Lagos State. The National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) as at yesterday evening put the death toll at 17. One of the victims was Henrietta Alokha, an administrator at Bethlehem Girls College, Abule Ado.
According to reports, a mass celebration was ongoing in the school when the incident happened and Alokha was reportedly among those who assisted trapped students to escape from the scene but when it was time for her to leave, she could not make it out alive. A couple of years ago, there was a less severe fire incident at the secondary school and the Rev. Sister was also there to evacuate students. It was also reported that she made sure to save all the students before trying to escape.
Timi Dakolo joins the long list of celebrities to mourn the victims as he took to the gram to share a photo of the deceased and called her a hero. He wrote: “HERO ??? :Sister Henrietta Alohka ?????????”
