According to a report from The Daily Mirror, Manchester United are prepared to let out-of-favour forward Anthony Martial join Chelsea as part of a swap deal for Willian.
The report claims that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho values Martial at £80 million, and that Chelsea would have to offer Willian (valued at £40 million), plus an additional £40 million to acquire his services.
Willian is a player the Manchester United manager has long admired since his time as Chelsea boss, which may give the blues the bargaining power they need to land Martial in the summer.
This may come as disappointing news to Tottenham Hotspur, who are also reportedly interested in signing Martial.

Football.London reported that Tottenham have been monitoring the Frenchman’s situation for a number of years, and even tried to sign him before Manchester United back in 2015 for £36 million.
Since the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, Martial has struggled for game time at Manchester United, and when given the opportunity has showed inconsistency.
If Chelsea are to offer Martial an escape route with Willian going the other way, there would be an element of irony to the deal, as Chelsea beat Tottenham to the Brazilian winger’s signature back in 2013.
