UN Expresses Deep Sadness Over Deadly Maiduguri Mosque Attack
The United Nations has expressed profound sadness following the recent attack on a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives and left several worshippers injured.
In a statement released on behalf of the UN, the global body strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a senseless act of violence against civilians who were peacefully observing their religious duties. The organisation extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Nigeria, particularly residents of Borno State who have endured years of insecurity.
