Victor Moses Shines At Fernabahce, Scores First Goal To Lift Club Out Of Relegation
Former Chelsea Victor Moses was in action and scored the second goal in Fernabahce’s 2 – 0 win over Goztepe in a Turkish Super Lig match on Friday as the team continues it fight out of the relegation end of the table.
Moses who is on an 18 months loan to the Turkish giants from English Premier League side Chelsea was a second half substitute for Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew in the 64th minute of the encounter and scoring the winner in the 73rd minute.
Fernabahce took the lead through Andre Ayew in the 7th minute before picking up a caution in the 37thminute while Moses’ goal confirmed the team’s second win in a row. Moses made his debut for the team against Yeni Matalyaspor in a 3 – 2 home win four days after joining for the London Blues.
Fernabahce are currently placed 11th on the Turkish Lig table moving five spots from the 16th position since Moses joined the team.
Moses who retired from international football after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia was deemed surplus to requirement by new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri despite being one of the key players in Antonio Conte’s team that won both the EPL and the FA Cup in two seasons.
