We will abide by judicial rulings that confirm Udeh-Okoye’s appointment as national secretary: PDP
He declared that the PDP would abide by the rulings of the High Court and the Court of Appeal, which upheld Mr. Udeh-Okoye’s appointment as national secretary, as a law-abiding party.
The Court of Appeal’s ruling upholding Sunday Udeh-Okoye as its national secretary will be followed, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Debo Ologunagba, the party’s national publicity secretary, made this claim during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
“As a party, we are bound by the judgment of the court of appeal that affirmed Ude-Okoye as national secretary of the PDP,” Mr. Ologunagba stated.
As a law-abiding party, Mr. Ologunagba stated that the PDP would abide by the rulings of the Court of Appeal and the High Court, which upheld Mr. Udeh-Okoye’s appointment as the party’s national secretary.
Two court orders were issued, and on December 24, 2023, it was confirmed—after consulting with the PDP national legal adviser—that we had received the appeal court’s ruling upholding Udeh-Okoye as the party’s national secretary.
We support the finality of the legal system and are a party that complies with the law. We will always adhere to that culture and have always respected court rulings. Regarding it, the party’s stance has not altered.
“In keeping with our previous stance as a rule of law-compliant, We are following the court’s directive.
“We will adhere to the procedure and guarantee complete adherence to the court of appeal’s ruling,” Mr. Ologunagba stated.
