According to Afrobeats musician Jaywon, celebrities can deal with social media trolls by becoming more forgiving.

The Nigerian music industry is not for “the weak,” he emphasized.

Jaywon emphasized that any musician who isn’t prepared to take criticism will not survive in the business, pointing out that celebrities like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido are regularly mocked on social media.

He advised artists to stay on social media to market their work rather than abandon it due to trolls.

 

“Some of my colleagues call me to chat about the current state of the industry and how I handle all the ranting and disrespect online,” the singer said on his X Twitter on Sunday.

I usually say the same thing: the modern industry is not for the weak.
