WWE Fastlane 2019: Roman Reigns in EMOTIONAL win as The Shield unite for FINAL time
ROMAN Reigns scored the winning pinfall as The Shield returned to defeat Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.
A final Triple Power Bomb was used to pin Corbin as the once-unstoppable trio gave fans a glimpse of their best.
It was Reigns’s first fight since announcing his leukaemia was in remission last month.
The ex-WWE Champion reunited with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose officially on last week’s Monday Night Raw.
Reigns asked Rollins if he wanted to reform the group one more time, convincing him not to bear a grudge after his falling out with Ambrose in recent months.
The Shield first reformed back in August when Rollins and Ambrose ran out the night after SummerSlam to stop Braun Strowman from cashing in the Money in the Bank contract for Reigns’ Universal Championship.
Strowman responded by teaming up with McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler, climaxing in a six-man tag match at the Super Show-Down event.
The Shield won, even though Ambrose had teased a betrayal for several weeks.
Fans rallied behind Reigns — real name Joseph Anoa’i, 33 — after he revealed he had struggled with cancer for 11 years last October.
When the four-time world champion returned in February, he received a standing ovation from the WWE crowd.
