Zinedine Zidane is continuing to champion Paul Pogba‘s signing to the Real Madrid board.
The Manchester United midfielder is about to enter the final year of his contract and expected to be sold this summer.
It’s been claimed Real have pulled back from plans to bring Pogba to Spain due to budget restraints.
However, Le 10 Sport says Zidane remains determined to sign his fellow Frenchman for next season and is lobbying president Florentino Perez and his directors not to drop their pursuit.
However, while there’s a confidence United will keep their asking price reasonable – a figure of €60-70m has been mooted – there remains doubts over Pogba’s personal demands.
The World Cup winner is demanding €200,000-a-week to make his next move.
