2Baba to Release ‘Oldest Young Man’ Album on November 27
Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has announced that his highly anticipated album, Oldest Young Man, will be released on November 27, 2026.
The veteran singer confirmed the release date in a social media announcement, describing the forthcoming project as a continuation of his musical legacy.
“The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date,” he wrote.
The 16-track project will mark 2Baba’s first full-length studio album since Warriors, which was released in February 2020.
The singer had earlier given selected guests a preview of Oldest Young Man during a listening party held on September 19, 2026, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event also formed part of activities marking his 51st birthday and attracted several entertainment personalities, including his former Plantashun Boiz bandmate Faze, Wande Coal, Tony Tetuila, Spyro, music executives Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye, and comedian Ayo Makun.
One of the highlights was a joint freestyle session between 2Baba and Faze, bringing back memories of their time with Plantashun Boiz.
Released in February 2020, Warriors was 2Baba’s eighth studio album and featured collaborations with prominent Nigerian artistes, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Olamide and Peruzzi.
The 13-track project included songs such as Opo, Amaka and Oyi.
Although he has not released another full-length album since then, 2Baba has remained active through singles and collaborations.
His recent releases include Mental, featuring Fave, which arrived in September 2026, as well as Kuku Google Am.
2Baba began his music journey as a member of the influential group Plantashun Boiz alongside Blackface and Faze.
The group released projects including Body and Soul in 2000 and Sold Out in 2003 before its members pursued separate careers.
He later established himself as a solo artiste with the release of Face 2 Face in 2004, which featured the hit song African Queen.
Over the years, he has released several albums, including Grass 2 Grace, The Unstoppable, Away and Beyond, The Ascension and Warriors.
With Oldest Young Man, the singer is preparing to add another chapter to a career spanning more than two decades.
The album is expected to arrive on digital streaming platforms on November 27. Its complete tracklist, featured artistes and production credits have not yet been officially unveiled.
