Get Out If You Want to Leave – Bode George Sends Strong Warning to PDP Faction
Elder statesman and former Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has issued a firm warning to dissenting members within the party’s ranks, telling them to “get out” if they no longer believe in the PDP’s ideology and direction. The veteran politician made the statement amid growing internal disagreements threatening the unity of Nigeria’s main opposition party.
Speaking during a recent political gathering in Lagos, George emphasized that the PDP cannot continue to accommodate internal saboteurs who prioritize personal interests over the collective progress of the party. He noted that loyalty and discipline remain the foundation of any strong political structure, urging party members to uphold unity as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
According to him, those who have lost faith in the PDP’s leadership or are secretly working against the party’s goals should have the decency to exit honorably rather than cause division. Bode George reiterated his belief that the PDP remains Nigeria’s best hope for democratic stability and national development, but only if internal crises are effectively managed.
Political observers say George’s remarks reflect the growing tension within the PDP, especially amid leadership disputes and factional struggles across several state chapters. His statement has since sparked conversations about the party’s readiness to rebuild and present a united front ahead of future elections.
