Fresh controversy has emerged around Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal after a 12-year-old girl publicly claimed to be his daughter in a video that has gone viral on social media.
In the emotional clip, the girl, who identified herself as Azizat Tiwalade Aduke Serina Ayinde Marshall, appealed directly to the veteran musician for recognition and support. Seated beside her mother, identified as Ogechi, she alleged that despite KWAM1’s success, he has not been involved in her life or provided financial assistance.
According to the girl, financial hardship has disrupted her education. She claimed she was unable to continue into Senior Secondary School (SS1) because of a lack of funds and expressed hope that the Fuji star would assist her in pursuing her education.
Beyond her appeal, Azizat introduced herself as an aspiring singer and songwriter, saying she hopes to build a career in the entertainment industry if given the necessary support and opportunities.
The viral video has generated widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing sympathy for the young girl while urging that the matter be handled responsibly and that the truth be established through appropriate legal or family channels rather than speculation online.
