The mother of late Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo has shared an emotional tribute to her son, describing his passing as a heartbreaking loss and a pain that words cannot adequately express.

Evangelist Mrs. Jane Mmerechi Ekubo-Okwaraeke paid tribute to the actor following his burial in Arochukwu, Abia State, reflecting on the bond they shared and the void his death has left in the family.

In her touching message, she remembered Alexx as an exceptional son who brought joy, love, and pride to those around him. She expressed how much she misses his regular calls, conversations, advice, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Alexx Ekubo, one of Nollywood’s most recognizable faces, passed away in May 2026 at the age of 40 following complications related to advanced metastatic kidney cancer, according to statements released by his family.
