K-Peace, now performing as Laqunlay, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter recognized for his powerful vocals and fusion of Afro-vibe, Fuji, and indigenous Nigerian sounds. After winning Season 5 of Nigerian Idol in 2015, he continued building a career in the live music scene and is now preparing to release his personal album SIM – Speaking Innermost Mind
Beyond the competition, K-Peace has built a strong reputation in Nigeria’s live band and performance scene. Live Performance & Collaborations. He has worked as a backup singer for several Nigerian artists, including Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Simi, Dammy Krane, and Band Work
K-Peace has also performed extensively with live bands. Former lead vocalist at Terra Kulture band, Founder of Groove Us Band, Active performer with SharpBand Allstars. Within these bands, he plays major creative roles, including: Lead vocals and performance, Crowd hyping, and audience engagement
The album is designed as a special birthday project, representing his personal reflections, emotions, experiences, and artistic growth.
The project blends: Afro-vibe, Fuji influences, Highlife and Contemporary live band sounds
