Although the LIFEINACAGE (LIC) EP preparations,proportions,  took some time for jaysquare to become the burgeoning rising star, at the tail end of his life. Back in 2012,he independently released fireburn, a single that barely made a dent commercially. To be fair, the quality of Jaysuare Extended play was a far cry from his follow-up: his song craft was still very crude,there was promise on the extended play.

Although, mainly from in his writing. Cuts like the romantic “summer vibes” “Sho Mo and the self-assured “Bless Me ” flaunted his ability for goodmusic—but in the music business, promise doesn’t always equate to staying power.

However, his rise was buoyed by finding the right allies – musically and business-wise. On the business side of things, the singer stuck to putting out music on his own imprint Hotstar Records. He was fully supported by 9jamusicmixtape,with promotion and branding to connect Nigeria and Africa music coast. An integral part of the LIFEINACAGEEP was Daihard,Dyc,Spicy chords ,Nercyphinga,Elvyramo and Qhinck these producers Are the sound behind the LIC ep .Darting between the introspective “life in a cage”, ambitious “All day ”, celebratory “Bless ,me” and imperial “Never know”, Hotstar is  a wholesome portrait of a man with an enduring spirit. Coming from a relatively poor background where little is given, and growing up in the inner parts of Lagos where closing your eyes was a respite from the harshness of reality, jaysquare’s music reflected his truths at every turn, which is what drew die hard fans to him.
