Two Women Arrested For Allegedly Pouring Hot Water On Their 10-Year-Old Maid In Anambra (graphic photos)
Anambra state police command has arrested two women in for pouring hot water on their 10-year-old house help, Chidinma Nworie.
The victims identified as Nneka Ayaene, 34, and Chinenye Okoh, 22, are from Ndiowu town, Orumba North LGA of Anambra State
According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the state’s police command, Moammed Haruna, the duo were arrested on January 5 by men of Oko Police Station after a complaint was made by concerned residents.
The residents alleged that the women assaulted their house help by pouring her hot water which caused her injuries all over her body.
Haruna said the suspects attacked the little girl because she failed to wait and return the bowl of water she brought for the suspects.
The police spokesperson expressed that the victim was rushed to Best Hospital in Oko for medical attention where she is presently responding to treatment.
He added;
Consequently, the suspects have been charged to magistrate court in Nanka for prosecution after conclusion of investigation.
Mohammed said the case which came up on Friday had been adjourned to 10/2/2021, while the suspects have been remanded at the Correctional Centre, Onitsha.
