Unity Cup: Super Eagles Camp Grows to 17 Players Ahead of Zimbabwe Clash

Nigeria national football team camp has swelled to 17 players in London ahead of their upcoming Unity Cup encounter against Zimbabwe national football team.

Head coach Éric Chelle officially opened camp on Saturday as preparations began for the invitational tournament scheduled to take place in London.

Among the latest arrivals are goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, and forward Rafiu Durosinmi, who joined the squad on Sunday.

The squad had already welcomed several players earlier, including Arthur Okonkwo, Terem Moffi, Philip Otele, and Femi Azeez.

Reports indicate that more senior stars, including captain Wilfred Ndidi and winger Moses Simon, are still expected to arrive in camp before the fixture.

The Super Eagles have already held training sessions at Cray Valley FC in London as Chelle continues assessing both experienced internationals and new faces invited for the competition.

Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final at The Valley Stadium on May 26, with Jamaica and India meeting in the second semi-final.

Football fans have continued expressing excitement ahead of the tournament, especially with the inclusion of several emerging talents and diaspora players in the Super Eagles squad.
