Veteran Yoruba Actress, Folake ‘Orisabunmi’ Aremu, Dies At 60
Veteran Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has passed away at 60.
The native of Olla in Kwara State died at her residence in Ibadan, Oyo State. She was said to have died after a brief illness.
President of Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, better known as Mr Latin, announced that she died on Tuesday night.
Another senior TAMPAN member Tunde Ola-Yusuf also confirmed the news in a Instagram post on Wednesday.
She left without a Good bye. The sudden death of Mrs Fokake Aremu (ORISABUNMI) has been announced.

Born on October 10, 1960, in Ilu Ola, Kwara State, Orisabunmi went to Ilu Ola Primary School and Secondary Commercial College.
Orisabunmi rose to fame in the 80s TV series Arelu, starring her ex-husband, Chief Jimoh Aliu and others like Fadeyi Oloro.
She was said to have gotten her stage name, Orisabunmi after she appeared in a stage play called Ori Ma Binu.
Orisabunmi was a phenomenal part of the film industry for more than four decades. She starred in productions including Arelu, Yanponyanrin.
Her death comes months after the demise of her former husband, under whose tutelage she rose to prominence in the film industry.
Orisabunmi was well known since the 80s for her roles as a priestess, pacifist and the good witch in movies.
Nollywood actors and movie makers have already begun sending tributes to the late actress across social media platforms.
