Former Miss Taraba Comfort Williams Dies as Pageant Organisers Pay Emotional Tribute
Former Miss Taraba, Comfort Williams, has died, prompting an emotional tribute from Prime Planet Event Managers, organisers of the Mr and Miss Taraba beauty pageant.
The organisation announced her death in a condolence statement shared on Monday, November 2, 2026, by its Chief Executive Officer, Disebe Donga.
In the statement, Prime Planet described Williams as a valued member of its organisation whose presence, contributions and memories would remain unforgettable.
“This heartbreaking loss has left us deeply devastated. She was not just a member of our organisation but an important part of the Prime Planet family whose presence, contributions, and memories will forever remain in our hearts,” the statement read.
Williams was crowned the 10th Miss Taraba in 2023, marking a major milestone in her involvement with the state’s beauty pageant industry.
Her relationship with Prime Planet continued after her reign as queen. In January 2026, she was appointed Assistant Managing Director as part of the organisation’s seven-member leadership team, known as Team 7.
The leadership structure also named Tabitha Adda as Managing Director and Leah Lot Mangbon as Head of Contestants.
In October 2024, Williams joined other Taraba pageant winners on a visit to Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja.
Following the announcement, Prime Planet extended its condolences to Williams’ family, friends and loved ones.
The organisation also emphasised that she would always remain part of its family, adding that her absence would be deeply felt.
“You will forever remain a part of the Prime Planet family. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,” the statement added.
As of the time of this report, the organisation has not disclosed the circumstances surrounding her death. Further details about her burial arrangements have also not been announced.
Williams’ death marks a painful loss for the Prime Planet team and those who followed her journey from beauty queen to a member of the pageant organisation’s management.
