Ojude Oba Returns with Vibrant Colours, Glamour and Cultural Splendour
The iconic Ojude Oba Festival has once again lit up the city of Ijebu-Ode, showcasing its renowned blend of cultural richness, vibrant fashion, and traditional elegance. This year’s celebration brought together dignitaries, tourists, and indigenes in a colourful display of unity, heritage, and pageantry, paying homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland.

Known as one of Nigeria’s most glamorous cultural festivals, Ojude Oba 2025 did not disappoint. From intricately styled Aso Ebi attires to breathtaking horse-riding processions by various age-grade groups (Regberegbes), the event was a celebration of identity, pride, and tradition.

With increasing global attention, the festival is not just a cultural showcase but also a major platform for promoting tourism, fashion, and entertainment. Its consistent return, post-pandemic, underscores the resilience of Nigeria’s cultural identity and the unifying power of heritage.
