Tompolo Distributes 44 Vehicles, Campaign Materials in Borno
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, whose Grand Patron is High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has commenced grassroots mobilisation in Borno State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement unveiled 44 vehicles and other campaign materials during an event held on Tuesday at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Square, College of Education, Maiduguri.
The materials distributed included 88 speakers, 44 generators, 44 amplifiers and 44 microphones, according to reports on the event.
Tompolo, who was represented at the event by Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Limited, urged residents of Borno State to support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027.
He noted that Shettima is from Borno State and called on supporters of the movement to take the mobilisation effort to the grassroots.
According to reports, Tompolo said the people of Borno should demonstrate their confidence in the administration and support what he described as the government’s achievements, including security efforts in the state.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is designed around grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 election.
At the Maiduguri event, the organisers called on supporters to move beyond party structures and engage residents across communities as part of their mobilisation activities.
Borno is also the home state of Vice President Kashim Shettima, making the state a significant location for the movement’s campaign activities.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum was represented at the event by his deputy, Umar Usman Kadafur, who formally unveiled the campaign mobilisation effort.
The deputy governor said the state was prepared for grassroots mobilisation in support of the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
Also speaking, Ali Bukar Dalori, the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), urged party members to take the campaign to the grassroots.
The APC governorship candidate in Borno, Mustapha Gubio, also expressed support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket and said the administration had delivered what he described as dividends of democracy.
The launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Borno is part of the growing political mobilisation ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The distribution of vehicles, sound equipment and other materials is expected to support the movement’s door-to-door and grassroots activities across the state.
The event also brought together APC officials and supporters as political groups continue to establish campaign structures ahead of the 2027 polls.
